EuroClim products

There are two main groups of EuroClim products – observed variable products and climate model variable products. The observed variable products are mainly based on satellite data, but also include data from in situ sensors when available.

Both groups of products are split into two sub-groups – primary products and climate-change indicator products. Primary products are based directly on the observed or modelled variables, while the indicator products typically are based on combinations of different primary products or (large) sets of a single product type.

Products can be downloaded in Hierarchical Data Format (HDF). Conversion tools to other formats are provided. All map products are in polar stereographic projection. A 1 km grid is defined for the map products, and most map products are provided in 1 km resolution (20 m for Svalbard glaciers).
