Climate Change Indicators

An environmental indicator is a scientific type of information or statistic that tracks environmental conditions over time. A set of indicators allows us to determine the health or integrity of an ecosystem. Indicators help define the nature and size of environmental problems, set goals for their solution, and track progress towards those goals.

In the EuroClim products, certain measurable qualitites found in the images are picked out as indicators, and change may be tracked in time series of the products.

EuroClim indicator products are typically based on combinations of different primary products or (large) sets of a single product type.
